This position requires strong construction knowledge, accountability, organization, and the ability to drive projects forward while supporting IFSS’s commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Manage assigned commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring quality, safety, timeline, and budget compliance.

  • Monitor construction progress against schedule, budget, scope, and contract requirements; identify risks, delays, conflicts, and cost impacts early and escalate as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and field teams regarding day-to-day project progress, manpower needs, site conditions, safety compliance, quality expectations, and client needs.
  • Track, manage, and help resolve RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, risk assessments, and project documentation in a timely and organized manner.
  • Perform or coordinate quality control inspections at key project milestones to support workmanship, code compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Support site-specific safety management by promoting proper PPE use, OSHA/local compliance, toolbox talks, safety audits, and adherence to IFSS safety procedures.
  • Coordinate project closeout, including final inspections, punch list completion, warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, final reporting, lessons learned, and record retention.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of commercial construction project management, preferably within fire protection, fire alarm, life safety, MEP, specialty subcontracting, or related construction environments.
