Job description


MAJOR FUNCTION:
Under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians, assists in the provision of patient care and with maintaining the patient care environment in the Emergency Department. Emergency Department Technicians shall not function as regulated/licensed professional.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
  • High school education or its equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a certified EMT or nursing assistant, paramedic or RN student (completed first year) preferred.

Certification/Licensure:
  • American Heart Association BLS required CPI initial for new hires within 60 days followed by annual de-escalation training provided by Inspira.
