Ascension Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our remote team on a full-time basis. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs, including diagnostic assessments using established clinical tools.
• Provide personalized one-on-one therapy sessions, utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and other evidence-based practices to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy session, focusing on psychoeducation and support to empower clients while fostering community and shared learning.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, setting measurable goals and interventions tailored to each client’s specific circumstances.
• Provide crisis intervention support, utilizing active listening and therapeutic de-escalation techniques to address immediate client needs while conducting risk assessments and coordinating safety plans.
• Engage in continuous professional development, attending workshops and training to stay abreast of current best practices and regulatory changes in mental health care.
• Build and maintain relationships with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a cohesive approach in client treatment and support.

You will primarily work with adults who present with a diverse range of mental health challenges, from mood disorders to trauma-related conditions. This role requires an understanding of the unique factors contributing to mental health issues within the Saint Petersburg community, allowing for culturally inclusive and empathetic care. You will also work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including family members and other health professionals, to facilitate holistic support for clients.

• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• Completion of three years of supervised clinical experience, which encompasses post-graduate clinical hours as dictated by Florida state regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and counseling skills, aimed at building therapeutic alliances with clients facing complex mental health issues.
• Ability to comprehensively assess and evaluate clients’ mental health needs using standardized assessment tools.

• Additional certifications or specialized training in areas such as trauma-informed care, addiction therapy, or family therapy will be advantageous.
• A proven track record of integrating innovative therapeutic modalities, including telehealth interventions, into practice.
• Experience in group facilitation or support group leadership is preferred.

The annual salary for this position is competitive, ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
