Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a CEI Inspector Aide to support a variety of transportation design-build projects throughout the Orlando, FL area. This role will assist with inspection activities on roadway and transportation infrastructure projects, ensuring construction work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Perform basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions
  • Assist higher-level inspectors with field inspection activities and project support
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Work under immediate supervision and report findings to senior inspection staff
  • Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements by performing inspection duties
  • Perform daily field inspections and maintain accurate, detailed inspection records
  • Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Track quality assurance progress and document inspection results
  • Provide input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers
  • Document project conditions through photographs and visual records as directed
  • Verify materials, equipment, and deliverables meet project specifications prior to installation
  • Communicate inspection findings and potential issues to project management and contractors
  • Monitor and report on safety compliance and adherence to project safety protocols
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid U.S Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
  • Due to the nature of the projects a US Citizenship is required 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic mathematical calculations and follow simple technical instructions experience
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT - Must obtain within the first six months of the assignment
