Hybrid Working: Team members are expected to come into the Alpharetta office as needed, based on business requirements and team collaboration needs. There is no fixed minimum number of in-office days; instead, attendance will be determined by project demands, meetings, and manager guidance. Any changes to your primary work location should follow the appropriate process as outlined in our handbook.
What You'll Do:
As the Sr. Business & Insight Analyst, you will be responsible for oversight and analysis of payment data from all perspectives of Ministry Brands' giving business. This role requires a blend of skills including knowledge of a variety of partnerships and stakeholder engagement models, strategic thinking, initiative management, creativity, and an overall desire to be an accelerator for our business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze payment data from multiple card and other payment networks, processing providers, and internal systems unique to Ministry Brands to provide historical and trend information.
  • Develop and maintain processes to further analyze donation / payments data, monitor payments costs, perform interchange analysis, and identify payment issues and solutions.
  • Create insights for use with clients, internal management, as well as board and investors.
  • Create clear and concise reporting of complex trends related to churches and the unique dynamics of donors.
  • Explain current performance and predict forward payments performance.
  • Benchmark information and synthesize it into recommendations and action plans. This includes updates from providers, schemes, industry news/reports, and technology developments
  • Perform analyses to identify optimization opportunities that reduce card processing fees from interchange, assessments, dues, and acquiring fees
  • Partner with product managers in the development of new products.
  • Work with teammates to review the impact of card network updates, share perspectives, and seek clarity.
  • Build models to analyze merchant pricing and provide recommendations for pricing strategies and future price actions
  • Oversee the implementation of merchant price changes across data, development, relationship management, etc.

Who You Are:
  • Passionate about utilizing data to deepen an understanding of customer behavior to drive business decisions and enthusiastic about helping purpose driven organizations
  • Exposure to consumer behaviors related to card usage and a deep understanding of Payment Card Networks including revenue and costs associated
  • Thrive in a matrixed organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Statistics, or related quantitative degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree, preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in card, treasury management or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in analytic oriented roles, or related fields
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of interchange
  • Independent, self-motivated, curious, entrepreneurial
  • Knowledge of the payments industry, including payment processing, credit card interchange and scheme fees and other international payment methods
  • Proficient in Excel and experience using BI/data visualizations tools such as Power BI and artificial intelligence tools like CoPilot
  • Advanced Excel knowledge including use of formula functions and pivot tables and have a fundamental understanding of SQL
