Purpose:

The Associate Director, Medical Insights & Analytics is responsible for generating, integrating, and translating data & analytics into strategic opportunities and tactics to support clinical strategies and improve patient outcomes. This position will partner closely with the Neuroscience Medical Affairs team, both in house and MSL field team, and cross functional StAT partners, to develop data driven approaches to uncover actionable insights and enhance medical engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design, development, implementation, and prioritization of strategic analytics & reporting approach for the Neuroscience (NS) Medical Affairs team
  • Manage the development and implementation of dashboards; inclusive of identification of patient care gaps, monitoring NS Medical Affairs field engagements and measurement of initiatives related to NS Medical Affairs strategic imperatives
  • Assess emerging trends in patient outcomes, health equity, population health, and stakeholder unmet needs.
  • Integrate analytical findings with secondary intelligence, NS Medical Affairs field input, primary research and other insights to identify areas to support key customer needs.
  • Partner across teams to enhance medical engagement through data driven insights, to increase scientific share of voice, address unmet needs, and ultimately improve patient outcomes
  • Provide input to strategic and business plans, NS Medical Affairs strategies, & evidence generation plans.
  • Proactively cultivate strong external partnerships and identify new data sources that will enhance decision making
  • Partner seamlessly across functions and organizational levels to compliantly integrate information into analysis and assessments of NS Medical Affairs strategies & tactics
  • Stay abreast of emerging healthcare & pharmaceutical industry trends and assess their potential impact on our NS Medical Affairs strategies
QualificationsEducation:

BA/BS or equivalent experience required; Advanced degree desirable

Experience and Skills:Required:
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience such as analytics, data science, patient analytics, medical affairs, epidemiology, evidence generation, strategic planning, or management consulting
  • Demonstrated success solving ambiguous business problems and generating meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Demonstrated success in data driven insight storytelling, data visualization and developing effective presentations to translate insight into actions for the brand
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical data sets (examples: Rx claims, medical claims, patient level data, EHR data, census data)
  • Pharmaceutical / healthcare industry experience
  • Strong leadership agility and cross functional partnering skills
  • General management mindset, business acumen, strategic thinking skills
  • Diversity of experience with demonstrated learning agility to be able to move across different stakeholders
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Tableau
Preferred:
  • Experience or background in clinical data, research, and/or scientific exchanges
  • Experience utilizing advanced data processing tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Dataiku, Python)
  • Ability to execute basic statistical methods such as Test and Control, Regression, etc.
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI, through exploration, iteration, and applying new tools over time

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
