NJ/NY Gotham FC ("Gotham FC" or "the Club") is a National Women's Soccer League ("NWSL") team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ. The Role:
Gotham FC is seeking an Inside Sales Manager who will report to the Director of Sales. This role is responsible for leading, developing, and motivating the Inside Sales team to drive new business revenue through ticket sales initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ticket sales, a passion for women's sports and soccer, and demonstrated experience coaching entry-level sales representatives in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. This position requires flexibility to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and matchdays.
In addition to leading the team, this is an active selling role. The Inside Sales Manager will be expected to manage and grow their own book of business, consistently hit individual and team revenue targets, and lead by example through outbound phone calls, prospecting efforts, and closing new business. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume sales environment, can effectively multitask across leadership and selling responsibilities, and embraces accountability for driving measurable revenue results.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Revenue Generation
  • Lead the Inside Sales team in driving new business revenue through full-season memberships, partial plans, groups, and premium hospitality products.
  • Set, track, and manage individual and team sales goals to ensure consistent achievement of monthly and annual targets.
  • Monitor team performance metrics including call volume, appointments set, revenue generation, and conversion rates.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, campaigns, and outbound initiatives to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Assist with high-level prospect meetings and closings as needed.

Coaching, Training & Development
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Provide daily coaching, call reviews, pipeline management guidance, and skill development sessions.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones focused on performance improvement, goal tracking, and career development.
  • Foster a competitive, positive, and growth-oriented sales culture.
  • Create and lead structured sales training programs and ongoing professional development sessions

Ticket Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Drive new business revenue through the sale of full-season memberships, partial plans, groups, and premium hospitality products.
  • Consistently exceed monthly and annual sales targets across all product lines.
  • Manage a full sales funnel from prospecting and discovery to presentation, close, and follow-up.
  • Plan, organize and execute Group Sales events/nights at Gotham FC matches.

Prospecting & Pipeline Management
  • Oversee team prospecting efforts including outbound calling, email campaigns, networking, and in-person events.
  • Ensure consistent daily outreach activity and adherence to CRM best practices.
  • Maintain oversight of the team's pipeline health, forecasting, and reporting accuracy.
  • Utilize CRM systems (SI Tickets and HubSpot preferred) to track performance and optimize conversion strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ticket sales, including prior success as an Account Executive/Senior Ticket Sales Account Executive or similar revenue-generating role.
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading entry-level sales staff preferred.
  • Experience with ticketing platforms (SI Tickets and HubSpot preferred).
  • Prior experience working in the sports industry is preferred.

Location:
Based at Gotham FC's business office, which is located at 15 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team's soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC's offices, practice facility, and Sports Illustrated Arena.
