Job description

Inside Sales Specialist/Estimator

Competitive salary based on experience

COME JOIN OUR TEAM – DRIVING INNOVATION IN INFRASTRUCTURE PRESERVATION!

Skidabrader, a Frontline Road Safety Group company, is a technology- and solutions-based contractor specializing in infrastructure preservation and renewal. Our services employ the unique and impressive technologies of the Skidabrader® bi-directional high-velocity shot-blasting machine and ultra-high-pressure water-blasting for infrastructure rehabilitation, improving friction and texture for safety on roads and runways. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a versatile Inside Sales Specialist/Estimator to help identify and win new work nationwide. This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Fort Worth, TX office, five days a week, with no travel required.

Position Overview:

This role combines inside sales, account management, and estimating in a single position supporting our infrastructure preservation and renewal business. The Inside Sales Specialist/Estimator is responsible for reviewing potential job bids that come through municipalities throughout the country and enabling the company to submit proposals for work — with particular focus on ghost striping, diamond grinding, and infrastructure preservation and renewal. The role works closely with our Business Development Managers across the business.

Job Duties

  • Monitor, identify, and review job bids and solicitations from municipalities and public agencies nationwide, using bid platforms such as BidX and ConstructConnect to search, track, and prioritize relevant work.
  • Assess and qualify opportunities against the company’s service offerings, screening solicitations and plans for key service terms such as diamond grinding, surface preparation, silane, epoxy, HFST, cure removal, UHP, texturing, friction improvement, and ghost striping.
  • Develop estimates, support job costing, and prepare proposals that enable the company to bid on work across its core service lines in the highway and road maintenance sector.
  • Build and grow relationships with municipal, agency, and general-contractor accounts — proactively educating general contractors about the company’s services, whether or not work is out for bid, to capture design-build opportunities.\
  • Research and pursue work in key counties and regions across the country, including markets the company does not currently serve, to expand its bid footprint.
  • Support the Business Development Managers and sales pipeline through outreach, follow-up, and coordination of bid submissions, and maintain accurate records of bids, proposals, estimates, and account activity.

Qualifications:

  • Previous inside sales/account management experience strongly preferred
  • Exposure to estimating work in the construction field, preferably in the highway/road maintenance sector.
  • Previous job costing and/or bidding experience a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Any exposure to BidX and ConstructConnect a major plus
