Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Inside Sales Representative – Industrial is responsible for supporting the sales team in generating revenue by identifying/qualifying leads, providing product information, preparing quotes, and maintaining customer relationships.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Inside Sales Representative – Industrial will provide ongoing support with Account Representatives, Customers, and Technicians requiring sales and quotation support. This role will provide regular reporting of sales, other relevant metrics, and maintenance of client databases. The Inside Sales Representative – Industrial will require occasional travel to support client relationships and needs.
This role is based out of our Edmonton office location at 4403-68th Ave NW.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
CUSTOMER SERVICE (Weighting 25%)Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Regularly communicate with customers to understand their ongoing needs and provide timely support and guidance.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process
Customer Engagement
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions based on their requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including facility managers.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and offer guidance throughout the sales process.
SALES PROCESS MANAGEMENT (Weighting 45%)Quotes & Proposal Development
  • Prepare accurate, comprehensive quotes/proposals based on customer specifications and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineers and estimators, to gather necessary information for quoting purposes.
  • Prepare product presentations for the Sales team to showcase the value and benefits of industrial solutions.
  • Monitor and update annual service agreements with clients.
ADMINISTRATION (Weighting 30%)Sales Administration
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Enter and update customer information and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Assist in forecasting sales targets and tracking sales metrics.
  • Monitoring RFP and RFQ opportunities through agency websites.
  • Gather and analyze market data to identify potential opportunities and areas for growth.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven experience as an Inside Sales Representative or similar role in the industrial industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial systems, components, and applications would be preferred.
