The Panther Group is seeking a skilled Laser Operator II to join a growing, innovative manufacturer serving the medical device industry.
The current opening is for 3rd shift: Mon-Thurs, 5:45pm-4:15am

Position Overview

As a Laser Operator II, you will operate computer-controlled laser machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to customer specifications and quality standards. You will work from technical drawings, written instructions, and production documentation while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established procedures.

This role offers the opportunity to develop specialized manufacturing skills while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate advanced computer-controlled laser machining equipment.
  • Perform medium- to high-complexity manufacturing operations according to customer and production requirements.
  • Interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Verify machine setup, operating conditions, and equipment status prior to production.
  • Make approved machine and process adjustments within established guidelines.
  • Inspect components to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Record production data and report equipment or process issues as needed.
  • Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new team members when requested.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and production team members.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating computerized manufacturing equipment or automated machinery.
