Your Role

As our next Molding Process Technician (Tue-Fri 5am - 3:30pm), you'll be at the forefront of shaping our organization's success. Responsibilities:
  • Develop Injection Molding /Scientific Molding processes to bring parts into specifications for size, appearance, flash, splay, cycle time.
  • Ensure presses are started and running to standard process and trouble shoot any issues not up to standards.
  • Develop and maintain standard operator instructions, set-up sheets and process set-up sheets.
  • Be able to process a variety of engineering-type materials.
  • Participate in developing action plans to resolve problems with safety, quality, production and delivery.
  • Document improvements and problems with molds, presses, secondary, etc.
  • Must be capable and willing to perform all duties associated with changing injection molds (material set up, mold change, set process (Press and robot) and inspect parts for quality adherence)
  • Identify quality defects in the molding process.
  • Basic maintenance of tooling.
  • Bag, Label, and inspect parts to be put away.
  • Proactively engage and support company policies to promote a culture of safe working environment and continual improvement.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma; 2-year Technical Degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years' experience in plastic processing of molding machines with experience in injection molding and have working knowledge of various mold concepts.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience and working knowledge of scientific molding. (IQ / OQ / PQ). Prior experience working in medical & biopharmaceutical industries preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication, computer literacy, basic program management skills, problem solving techniques, strong organizational skills.
  • Self-starter and able to solve problems correctly using own initiative, analysis, creativity.
  • Strong attention to detail and proven accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work independently, multitask and to collaborate cross functionally.
  • This role may require less than 5% of travel domestically. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.
