Job description

Modern Molding, Inc. is a leading provider of custom-made thermoplastic injection-molded parts, serving a diverse range of industries including electronics, telecommunications, and construction. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our production team in Delano, Minnesota. This role is essential to our manufacturing process, ensuring our injection molding machines are properly supplied and our inventory remains accurate.

Responsibilities

  • Prep and stage plastic resins and raw materials for production runs.
  • Follow the daily production schedule to accurately retrieve required materials from inventory.
  • Track material locations and inventory movements using our computer system.
  • Perform regular cycle counts of resins, dyes, and inserts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Clean and prepare equipment in the materials department to support production efficiency.
  • Return unused materials to designated inventory locations promptly.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with email and inventory software.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with production staff.
  • Strong basic math skills for inventory counting and reporting.
  • Mechanically inclined with an aptitude for equipment handling.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds occasionally.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and accurate in work execution.
  • Willingness to undergo provided forklift training and certification.
