MGS has an exciting opportunity for a Mold Maintenance Technician to join our MGS Richfield Manufacturing team. 

The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for minor repair, assembly/disassembly and preventive maintenance of injection molds at the MGS Richfield Manufacturing Facility.

Below are additional duties and responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of plastic molds and hot systems.
  • Daily use of toolroom equipment such as mills, surface grinders, and lathes to facilitate mold repair or improvement.
  • Repair or request replacement parts, tooling, or hardware as needed to maintain replacement inventory.
  • Set-up and operate all hand-tool equipment along with manual toolroom machines.
  • Coordinate with our internal MGS Engineering department for specific operations or needs.
  • Understand and use toolroom inspection equipment as required.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

A qualified Mold Maintenance Technician candidate would fulfill these requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. 
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Familiar with hand tools.  
  • Familiar with repairing and preventative maintenance of molds is preferred.
  • Understanding of toolroom equipment such as mills, surface grinders, and lathes is preferred.
  • Understanding of mold building and injection molding process is preferred.
  • Lock out/Tag out and Forklift experience.
  • Ability to read and follow step by step work instructions.
