Infrastructure Recruiter information

What is an infrastructure recruiter?

Infrastructure Recruiters are specialized professionals who focus on sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates for roles in infrastructure sectors such as IT infrastructure, construction, civil engineering, and utilities. They work closely with organizations to understand their talent needs and identify qualified candidates with expertise in areas like network engineering, project management, and systems administration. Infrastructure Recruiters may work in-house for large companies or as part of staffing agencies, and they play a crucial role in ensuring that organizations have the skilled professionals needed to build and maintain essential infrastructure.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an infrastructure recruiter?

To thrive as an Infrastructure Recruiter, you need expertise in talent sourcing, understanding of the infrastructure sector (such as civil, structural, or IT infrastructure), and a background in HR or recruitment. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, and relevant certifications (e.g., AIRS, SHRM) is often expected. Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, and effective communication help build trust with candidates and hiring managers. These skills ensure the recruiter can efficiently identify and attract top infrastructure talent to meet organizational needs and project deadlines.

How does an infrastructure recruiter typically collaborate with hiring managers and technical teams during the recruitment process?

An Infrastructure Recruiter works closely with hiring managers and technical teams to understand specific role requirements, desired skill sets, and team culture. This collaboration often involves conducting intake meetings to clarify position needs, aligning on candidate profiles, and coordinating interview logistics. Throughout the process, the recruiter serves as a bridge, providing regular updates, gathering feedback, and refining search criteria to ensure that only the most qualified candidates are presented. Effective communication and relationship management are key to ensuring a smooth and successful hiring experience for all parties involved.

Job description

About Glean:
Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry's most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business - without vendor lock-in or costly implementation cycles.
At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering deeply personalized, context-aware responses for every employee. This foundation powers Glean's agentic capabilities - AI agents that automate real work across teams by accessing the industry's broadest range of data: enterprise and world, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time. The result: measurable business impact through faster onboarding, hours of productivity gained each week, and smarter, safer decisions at every level.
Recognized by Fast Company as one of the World's Most Innovative Companies (Top 10, 2025), by CNBC's Disruptor 50, Bloomberg's AI Startups to Watch (2026), Forbes AI 50, and Gartner's Tech Innovators in Agentic AI, Glean continues to accelerate its global impact. With customers across 50+ industries and 1,000+ employees in more than 25 countries, we're helping the world's largest organizations make every employee AI-fluent, and turning the superintelligent enterprise from concept into reality.
If you're excited to shape how the world works, you'll help build systems used daily across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, ServiceNow, Zendesk, GitHub, and many more - deeply embedded where people get things done. You'll ship agentic capabilities on an open, extensible stack, with the craft and care required for enterprise trust, as we bring Work AI to every employee, in every company.
About the Role:
Glean is looking for a strategic, thoughtful, and highly effective Technical Recruiter to help us build the teams that will shape the next era of enterprise AI. In this role, you will partner closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, machine learning, security, and other technical leaders to identify the talent and capabilities Glean needs to achieve its goals. You will be more than a process owner. You will serve as a talent advisor, market expert, and recruiting partner who can translate business priorities into clear hiring strategies, create conviction with candidates, and help hiring teams make consistently high-quality decisions. You will bring strong judgment to complex searches, build durable talent pipelines, and help us create a candidate experience that reflects the ambition and care we bring to our product.
This is an opportunity to join a team that is actively reimagining how recruiting works. We expect our recruiters to use AI as a force multiplier, experiment with new approaches, turn successful practices into repeatable systems, and help make recruiting at Glean faster, more insightful, and more human.
You will:
  • Partner with hiring managers and technical leaders to understand business goals, team structures, role requirements, and the capabilities needed for success.
  • Develop and execute thoughtful recruiting strategies for high-impact technical searches across engineering, product, machine learning, infrastructure, security, data, technical program management, and related functions.
  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle, from intake and market mapping through sourcing, assessment, closing, and onboarding handoff.
  • Build strong pipelines of exceptional active and passive candidates through targeted research, proactive outreach, referrals, communities, events, and creative sourcing channels.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on talent markets, compensation expectations, competitive dynamics, candidate motivations, and the tradeoffs required to make a search successful.
  • Partner with hiring teams to define clear candidate profiles, calibrate interview processes, improve signal quality, and maintain a high and consistent hiring bar.
  • Create a candidate experience that is timely, transparent, inclusive, and compelling, from the first conversation through the final decision.
  • Use recruiting data and market intelligence to identify risks, improve funnel health, guide prioritization, and communicate progress and recommendations to leaders.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting systems and documentation so that our team can operate with strong visibility, consistency, and accountability.
  • Use AI tools and automation thoughtfully to improve research, sourcing, candidate communication, workflow efficiency, and decision quality while preserving sound judgment and a human-centered experience.
  • Contribute to recruiting programs, employer brand initiatives, talent communities, and operating mechanisms that strengthen Glean's reputation in the technical talent market.
  • Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and help turn effective recruiting practices into scalable team standards.

About you:
  • You have 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally in a high-growth technology company or similarly complex environment.
  • You have a track record of recruiting and closing exceptional technical talent across one or more areas such as software engineering, machine learning, infrastructure, security, data, product, or technical leadership.
  • You are a strong recruiting partner who can earn trust with experienced hiring managers, ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions respectfully, and bring clarity to ambiguous searches.
  • You are an effective sourcer and researcher who can build targeted talent maps, engage passive candidates, and develop creative approaches when traditional channels are not enough.
  • You bring strong candidate judgment, critical thinking, analytical ability, and reasoned decision-making.
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing momentum or quality.
  • You use data to understand recruiting performance, identify patterns, and make better decisions.
  • You are energized by change, ambiguity, and the opportunity to build. You take ownership, learn quickly, and follow through.
  • You care deeply about candidate experience and believe that a thoughtful, inclusive process is essential to building great teams.
  • You are curious about AI and motivated to incorporate it into your work. You do not need to be an AI recruiting expert, but you should be excited to experiment, learn, and help redefine what excellent recruiting looks like.
  • You are a collaborative teammate who improves the systems, practices, and experience of the recruiting team around you.

  • This role is hybrid (4 days a week in our Mountain View office)
