Job description

We’re seeking a skilled Project Manager to join a national General Contractor specializing in commercial and institutional projects, based in Edmonton.
What We Offer:

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage commercial and institutional construction projects from preconstruction through to turnover.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocations.
  • Lead and influence project teams including contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal functional groups.
  • Oversee contract administration, proposals, change orders, and negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, building codes, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure quality expectations are met.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate project progress reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Director and regional leadership teams in a highly supportive, mentorship-driven environment.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 8–10 years of experience in construction project management (commercial or institutional focus).
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proven success collaborating with subcontractors, engineers, consultants, and owner representatives.
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, contract management, and risk management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Project and Procore is an asset.
  • General Contractor experience is required.
  • Experience managing public projects for Alberta Infrastructure, School Board, and/or Alberta Health Services (AHS) is a strong advantage.
