Job Description


The Sr Infrastructure Engineer works under the direction of the Infrastructure Manager and will support our internal operations and customers. This position is responsible for exceeding established SLAs, providing world class customer service and technical support, and managing service requests through our ticketing system. Accountability and proactive communication as it relate to all position responsibilities

JOB DUTIES:

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve technical solutions that enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability across customer and internal environments
  • Architect and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs
  • Evaluate, adopt, and integrate emerging technologies into existing infrastructure to drive innovation and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design and deliver solutions, while also independently owning and executing technical initiatives end-to-end
  • Design and manage structured workflows for task tracking, change management, and operational visibility through ticketing and change control systems
  • Identify systemic and operational deficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective engineering solutions to prevent recurrence
  • Lead incident analysis efforts by investigating underlying technical issues and designing long-term fixes rather than temporary resolutions
  • Engineer and implement solutions to recurring technical challenges, reducing reliance on reactive support models
  • Develop and optimize queue and workload management processes to meet SLA objectives through automation, prioritization strategies, and continuous improvement
  • Design and standardize operational procedures, escalation paths, and documentation frameworks to ensure efficient and scalable workflows
  • Build, maintain, and automate operational checklists and validation processes to ensure consistency and system integrity
  • Own the design, accuracy, and lifecycle management of configuration data within the CMDB to support infrastructure visibility and governance
  • Implement and manage cybersecurity controls, ensuring systems are hardened, compliant, and continuously updated against emerging threats
  • Design and execute patch management strategies for operating systems and third-party applications to maintain security and system stability
  • Participate in on-call engineering rotation, taking ownership of critical system issues and driving resolution through technical expertise and system-level improvements


YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 8+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading implementation and design projects
  • Design and management of Microsoft Windows Active Directory topologies
  • Role-Based security design and group policy management
  • In-depth knowledge of M365 and Microsoft SQL
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure / Intune
  • In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere 7.0 and above including design, implement and manage
  • In-depth knowledge of Physical/Hyper Converged Infrastructure (Nutanix, EMC, Dell, HP,
  • etc.)Backup Infrastructure Design and Management

WE VALUE:

  • Disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Experience with email and spam filtering services (Mimecast, Barracuda, Proofpoint, etc.)Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP
  • Switching and routing topologies (VLAN, basic routing protocol knowledge)
  • Former Managed Services experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Apple OS and Devices a plus
  • Knowledge of Managed Services ticketing systems, change controls, Agile framework
