RER Solutions, Inc. is accepting resumes for a Systems Administrator/Infrastructure Engineer to manage, maintain, and enhance DOE owned systems and enterprise server environments. The Systems Administrator/Infrastructure Engineer will ensure system reliability, security, performance, and scalability while supporting critical business applications and infrastructure modernization initiatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and support Development, Test, and Production server environments, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Perform regular server maintenance, including patching, updates, and remediation of security vulnerabilities
  • Conduct monthly server patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening
  • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise applications, including Microsoft SQL Server
  • Administer and support multiple database instances across several servers
  • Perform SQL database maintenance, including clean-up, re-indexing, and performance optimization
  • Configure and manage websites using F5 load balancers
  • Conduct security assessments, audits, and remediation activities
  • Perform daily audits of Windows and SQL logs to ensure compliance and system integrity
  • Coordinate server, network, storage, security, and enterprise application activities
  • Support continuous deployment, troubleshooting, and release management for DOE owned applicationsย 
  • Maintain configuration management standards and recommend architecture and infrastructure improvements

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of related professional experience
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and domain management
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server administration and optimization
  • Experience with AWS cloud migration and infrastructure management
  • Familiarity with enterprise security practices, vulnerability management, and compliance
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications and CI/CD environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
