Overview
Responsible for performing duties which allow the Warranty Management teams to be efficient in the 
resolution of warranty claims on all Renewables projects. This role provides those supporting services 
that saves time, provides organization of the work, and enhances team efficiency and effectiveness. The 
Warranty Coordinator I will work collaboratively across departments and actively supports the 
company’s values and beliefs.

Location: This position can be located at one of our office locations daily (without per diem or relocation): Phoenix, AZ; Indianapolis, IN;  or Fargo, ND with 30% travel throughout the US.

Responsibilities
  •  Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures
  •  Assist with materials research by retrieving IFC and As-Built designs, RFI, Inspections and
    observations from ProCore for Warranty Manager and/or field team leaders
  • Support coordination efforts of field team leaders as needed in the completion of warranty
    items
  • Generate SM Work orders, cost codes/phase codes to assist with cost tracking
  • Generate Purchase Order Requests within MasTec CRT including creation of SOVs from quotes
    code verifications; monitor approval flow and PO issuance by Procurement
  •  Maintain and monitor the MasTec CE&I Warranty email address
  •  Attend Owner meetings and presentations when appropriate
  • Monitor Substantial Completion dates and warranty periods to update and maintain 
    corresponding trackers
  • Maintain an up-to-date client point-of-contact list 
  •  Collaborate with Procurement to update and maintain a vendor point-of-contact list
  • Support the preparation of End of Warranty assignments to client for major equipment
  • Assist in compiling backup for non-warrantable / cost plus billing recovery and submit to Billing 
    for payment applications to applicable Owner and/or Vendor/Subcontractor
  •  Support the preparation of reports and presentations for Warranty Kickoff meetings, Warranty 
    Handover Meetings, etc. 
  • Compose and prepare routine correspondence, such as Vendor claims and Subcontractor 
    management
  • Resolve minor ancillary warranty claims when appropriate
  • Contribute to special projects as required to meet Quality key initiatives
  • Support RCAs as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One to Three years’ experience in an administrative support position; billing or construction 
    experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward MasTec Renewable Energy’s Zero Injury principles.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast environment
  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SmartSheet
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong time management skills are crucial for effectively managing tasks and responsibilities including setting clear deadlines, prioritization, task breakdown, organization, self-discipline, flexibility, and contingency planning
  • Ability to demonstrate basic construction safety practices/protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution
