Job description

Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist
Department:TP)IT Team
Shift: Core business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Direct Report: IT Senior Manager
Type: Full-time; Non-exempt

About the position

We are looking for a reliable IT Specialist to help us maintaining company's information technology systems and networks. Your duties will also include technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer and telecom systems.

You should have some experience in IT project management and solid technical background, together with good organizational, teambuilding and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities are:
  • Negotiate with IT vendors to determine the terms and conditions of contracts
  • Observe the work standards for the efficient operation of the IT infrastructure
  • Ensure the normal operation of the computer infrastructure
  • Set up computers, printers, and servers as necessary
  • Process IT invoices; enter the information into SAP for the accurate payment
  • Maintain the telecommunications infrastructure as necessary
  • Respond to employees' requests and inquiries
  • Orders IT equipment as needed
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving for employees on network, computers, software and peripherals
  • Network traffic monitoring
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements are:

Education:

  • (Required) bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • (Preferred) information technology or management science major or advanced degree in a related field

Experience:

  • (Preferred) 2-5 years of previous relevant experience
  • (Preferred) previous experience in the manufacturing industry

Language:

  • (Required) good command of written and spoken English

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
  • Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
  • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Systems Analysis - Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
  • Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; to reach with hands and arms; and to talk and hear
  • Must be capable of climbing up and down a ladder/stairs several times per shift
  • Must be capable of standing for long periods of time
  • Mobility throughout the facility
  • Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, or crouch
  • Employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on occasion
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus
