Job Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 Tier 1 enterprise IT help desk technical support to AFCENT users.
  • Troubleshoot and implement solutions to resolve incidents and problems on supported systems, network infrastructure, voice, and video, to include enterprise-level routers, switches, servers, firewalls, proxies and caching arrays.
  • Monitor systems/network performance metrics and trends to identify substandard performance and anomalies.
  • Escalate complex systems/network performance, bandwidth and security issues and incidents to senior engineers/SMEs (Tier 2 and 3) for analysis and resolution.
  • Perform Local Registration Authority (LRA) duties.
  • Provide General Networking and LAN support.
  • Provide WAN Enterprise support.
  • Provide technical and general O&M support.
  • Provide documentation support as required.
  • Provide meetings/briefings support as required.
  • Provide functional training support as required.
  • Provide CONUS TDY support as required.

Required Qualifications
  • Must have 3 or more years๏ฟฝ of relevant experience
  • Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft server installation, roles, active directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
  • Must have firewall experience

Certifications Required
  • CompTIA Network +CE or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • ITIL Foundation - Candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification

Clearance Required
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
