Job description

The Onsite IT Coordinator supports and maintains the organization's onsite technology infrastructure by providing hands-on technical support, troubleshooting issues, installing and maintaining hardware and software, and coordinating with corporate IT teams. This role serves as the primary contact for local users and helps ensure reliable system performance, network connectivity, and a positive user experience across the facility.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Support

  • Collaborate with corporate IT teams to manage and resolve support tickets.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Set up and deploy workstations, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
  • Perform equipment repairs, upgrades, and replacements as needed.
  • Provide onsite support and user training for technology-related issues.

Onsite Coordination & Liaison

  • Serve as the primary IT contact for facility personnel.
  • Act as a liaison between local users and corporate IT support teams.
  • Communicate technical issues, requirements, and project updates effectively.
  • Coordinate onsite IT activities, maintenance, and technology deployments.
  • Support implementation of corporate IT policies, procedures, and standards.

Infrastructure & Security Support

  • Assist with maintaining local network infrastructure and connectivity.
  • Support network security initiatives and compliance with corporate security standards.
  • Monitor and report system performance, outages, and potential risks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support activities.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred

 

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, network administration, or systems administration.
  • Experience working with end-user support and ticket management system

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems; Linux experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, and WAN environments.
  • Experience with workstation deployment, hardware troubleshooting, and software installation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management tools preferred.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
