Amicalola EMC has an immediate opening for the following position: Information Systems Administrator. This position will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the Cooperative's information technology systems and infrastructure. The position will assist with ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the Cooperative's technology environment and will provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed.DutiesMonitors, maintains and supports the IT system operation and system development in support of the Cooperative's business operations.Administers server and storage environment. Assists in troubleshooting local and wide area networks.Provides risk management, Information Systems Security incident reporting and personnel training focused on identifying and mitigating risks to a minimum level.Ensures policies and procedures are in place for implementing safeguards, standardized security procedures, and protection of information and Information Systems resources to allow only authorized people to access the Cooperative's systems and networks.Other duties or projects as required. EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required. College degree in computer science, information technology, or closely related field. ExperienceExperience in computer services and maintenance preferred.Abilities and SkillsExperience working with a virtual server environment, and with managing Windows Operating Systems (both server and desktop).Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills are essential.Must have the ability to work independently, manage time, and possess personal initiative. Ability to effectively conduct training sessions. Experience with an on-premise PBX system is a plus. Must maintain a valid driver's license.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsFrequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling and working in confined spaces. Occasional climbing of ladders.Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies < 25 lbs. Occasional lifting and carrying of supplies 25-75 lbs.Work will mostly be performed indoors with occasional outdoor work in all weather conditions. Position may require occasional irregular hours and overtime during storm restoration or emergency operations.
