Your duties are to manage a team of IT workers to install or upgrade hardware and software, develop security protocols and practices, and train other workers in how to use the technology. You often provide reports to upper management about the health and safety of the IT systems and make recommendations for improvement. Some information systems managers specialize in a specific area of IT, such as security or networks, while others oversee the operations of the entire system.
