Job description

Description

The Systems Engineer will be forward-deployed to a small team working to design and architect a space-constrained system. Expertise in data center design, systems integration, Linux systems engineering, design/rack elevation drawings, requirements elicitation and requirements management, and cross-organizational collaboration is required.  Previous assignment to or experience working with our customer organization is highly desired.


Desired Skills;

1) System engineering experience with Linux, storage, virtualization, network technologies

2) System architecture/design

3) System integration/administration experience

4) Lab or Data Center design/support

5) Ability to work independently/self-paced

6) Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, etc.)

Requirements

Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.


In addition, must have seven (7) years of the following:

1) QA, CM

2) Manage requirements and requirements process 

3) Applying risk mgmt principles

4) System test programs

5) Troubleshooting, monitoring

6) Scripting languages (bash/tcl/python)

7) System architecting

8) UNIX and  Linux

9)  MS Office
