Description

VPFW is hiring full-time Provider Medical Assistants to join our clinical department and float across office locations. A provider medical assistant works side-by-side with a physician to provide nursing functions using established procedures and standards to assist with OB/GYN patient appointments and procedures.

Requirements

Essential Functions:
  • Interview new patients and record patient information
  • Assist with patient exams and procedures
  • Request diagnostic testing and communicate results to patient in a timely manner
  • Stock and clean exam rooms
  • Ensure all required written forms, computer documentation, and patient medical records are completed in a timely manner
  • Administer injections and medications
  • Coordinate prescription orders with pharmacy and patient
Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of clinical techniques
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with physicians, staff, and management
  • Ability to perform effectively in stressful situations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
