Overview

Job Summary

The Regional Automation Sales Manager will serve as the subject matter expert and support sales goals by developing the solution concept for customers to demonstrate operational efficiencies, impactful return on investment, and integrating clinically to the Hemostasis patient management pathways.  This role will generate strategies around automation, workflow, informatics and/or professional services to target key strategic customers within the strategic accounts target list, commercial laboratories, university hospital systems and mid-to-high volume health systems.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert and consultant in the following areas: automation, workflow, informatics and/or professional services.
  • Serve as an expert consultant in discussions of hemostasis automation design details of informatics and professional services offerings.
  • Analyze customer data (key performance indicators, turn around time metrics, staffing) and conducting workflow assessments, develop effective solutions design reports with insights and recommendations and delivering insights to customer.
  • Share best practices related to efficiency and accuracy that promote functionality of Werfen Hemostasis instrumentation, HemoCell Specialized Automation, Workflow Process Improvements, while enhancing customer satisfaction and goal achievement. 
  • Responsible for balanced performance across technical specialist teams in achieving core lab closes, informatics and/or professional services revenue.
  • Responsible for creation, standardization, and dissemination of tools to support the Solution Design team and broader sales organization.
  • Act as liaison and provides input to global/US marketing, R&D and Sales organization for automation, workflow, informatics and/or professional services for product and process development and improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to deliver voice-of-customer feedback to further enhance automation solutions and offerings.
  • Be knowledgeable about laboratory workflow and practices, industry trends, changing market regulations and healthcare policy within defined customer segment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Networking/Key Relationships

  • Collaborates with multiple layers of the Werfen organization such as North America Marketing, Strategic Business Unit, R&D, sales leadership, finance, and field service organizations.
  • Externally, this role will engage with various levels of a health system ranging from the end user laboratorian, laboratory leadership (Supervisors, Managers & Directors) up to the C Level suite of the organization
Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science related field or business required.
  • Minimum of five years of diagnostics and/or laboratory experience is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Strong automation, workflow and/or IT hardware/software experience preferred.
  • Experience designing, selling and/or implementing multisite automation and informatics projects preferred.
  • Experience with laboratory workflow strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding on how technology drives value in healthcare preferred. 

Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 60% travel required.

The annual base salary range for this role is currently $150,000 to $180,000. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.

This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan retirement benefits with an employer match, as well as paid vacation and sick leave. Our sales roles are eligible for participation in a commission plan and our management, and select professional roles, are eligible for a performance-based bonus.
