Job description

Description
Job Description:
Is Kymanox the right fit for you?
You want to make a difference and have an impact...
You enjoy having an influence in your day-to-day work...
You are motivated by working alongside a team filled with
subject matter experts who will help you learn and grow...
You wake up every day and do what you do
because patients deserve better.
If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Kymanox is looking for an IT Operations & Applications Administrator to keep our Microsoft environment running smoothly day to day. The bulk of this role is Microsoft 365 and Azure administration - managing users and access, keeping systems healthy, and handling the routine tasks that keep a modern cloud workplace running. You'll be a go-to person for Microsoft-related requests across the company.
Alongside that, you'll lend a hand with our suite of custom internal applications - helping users with questions, managing their accounts and permissions, and giving new features a test before they go out. You don't need deep experience with those applications; the engineering team owns them, and you'll pick things up as you go.
We're looking for someone dependable and detail-oriented who's comfortable learning new tools quickly and enjoys being the person who keeps everything ticking. Strong communication matters - you'll work with users at every level and translate their requests into clear, actionable next steps.
Responsibilities:
  • Microsoft 365 & Azure Administration (primary focus)
    1. Administer Microsoft 365 - Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and license management
    2. Manage users, groups, and access in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
    3. Handle device enrollment and policies in Intune mobile device management
    4. Support Azure-based Windows servers and day-to-day cloud configuration
    5. Perform routine monitoring - check that systems are healthy, review logs, and confirm scheduled jobs completed
    6. Work helpdesk tickets: resolve Microsoft and general IT requests, and escalate the rest with clear detail
  • Custom Internal Application Support (secondary)
    1. Serve as a friendly point of contact for users of our suite of custom internal applications
    2. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests within these custom internal applications
    3. Give new features and updates to the custom applications a quick test before they reach users, and report issues clearly to engineering
    4. Keep simple how-to guides and admin notes for the custom internal applications up to date
    5. General IT, Networking & Security Support
    6. Support LAN and WLAN equipment and general office IT (conference rooms, printers, desk phones)
    7. Follow and help enforce Kymanox's cybersecurity and standard operating procedures
    8. Coordinate with vendors and manage service providers when outside help is needed
  • General IT, Networking & Security Support
    1. Support LAN and WLAN equipment and general office IT (conference rooms, printers, desk phones)
    2. Follow and help enforce Kymanox's cybersecurity and standard operating procedures
    3. Coordinate with vendors and managed service providers when outside help is needed

Educational Background:
  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.

Experience:
Required
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and/or Azure environments
  • Working familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, and basic Windows administration
  • Strong communication and a genuine customer-service mindset - patient and clear with users
  • Strong attention to detail and solid problem-solving instincts
  • Comfortable learning new software quickly and self-managing routine work through a ticketing system

Preferred
  • Exposure to Intune MDM and to supporting LAN / WLAN networking
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems; basic knowledge of ITIL protocols is a plus
  • Some application-support or QA/testing experience (writing simple test cases, reporting bugs)
  • Awareness of basic cybersecurity practices (device, user, and access security)

Nice to have
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, AZ-900, or role-based associate certs)
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub or an issue tracker (Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub Issues)
  • AI-assisted tool familiarity (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) or light scripting (PowerShell, Python)

Desired Aptitude and Skill Set:
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills and verbal/written communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a sense of ownership and willingness to learn
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, growing, and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to form partnerships with internal stakeholders
  • Seasoned soft skills (i.e., high EQ)
  • Technology savvy
