Job Description

Overview:

Selective Insurance is looking for a BI Administrator on our Information Management team to provide support for tools like Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica MDM, Cognos BI, Cognos TM1 and other technologies. The role will require interactions with application development community and core infrastructure support teams to deliver the platform support needed. BI Administrator must have strong communication skills, teamwork, as well as the ability to effectively prioritize and manage a wide variety of tasks.

Responsibilities:

Configuration, monitoring, deployment and administration of BI platforms.

Provide support for various platforms managed by the BI Admin team that include but are not limited to: Informatica (MDM, PowerCenter, IDQ), Cognos (BI, TM1), Microsoft (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS), Dell Statistica.

Collaborate with various technical teams and business users for Development, QA, and Operations Support.

Provide Production support as needed both during and outside of normal business hours.

Follow pre-defined processes and procedures for addressing and escalating issues.

Implement technical solutions based on project timelines

Promote the adoption of best practice standards.

Perform code deployment to production following the Standard Operating Procedure

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field preferred.

3 years or more of experience as administrator or developer in any of the following Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica MDM, Cognos BI.

Work experience using Microsoft SQL Server

Experience with high level Windows Server administration.

Experience supporting multiple domains spanning DEV, QA, and Production environments

Experience with ETL and reporting tools like Informatica PowerCenter, Cognos BI, SSIS, SSRS is preferred.

Strong analytic and problem solving abilities

Quick learning skills

Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently as well as work in a team environment

Strong collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams are a must for this position.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
preferred.
