Overview
Position Summary
The quality specialist is responsible for reviewing products and materials to ensure they meet company, certification, and customer requirements. This candidate will need to know how to use testing gauges, quality auditing, ASTM and AASHTO requirements. Must be able to learn the tubing specifications, and skills to inspect the products to ensure the highest quality is produced.
Competitive compensation package of $22.00 - 26.00 hourly (DOE).

  • Write SOPS when needed and implement.
  • Collect, inspect, and mail samples when needed.
  • Calibrate gauges and other tools that are necessary to meet company quality requirements.
  • Monthly reporting and updating quality boards.
  • Inspect products to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in implementing quality policies and procedures.
  • Work with production to identify defects through production process.
  • Follow customer requirements.
  • Maintains general housekeeping for work area.
  • Maintains gauge log.
  • Assists with maintaining and organizing quality folder.
  • Maintain and improve quality stations.
  • Works with quality manager on part containment and dispositioning.
  • Works with quality team to complete goals.
  • Maintains and conducts quality training.
  • Maintains records.
  • Assists sales with new products and other tasks.
  • Attend training when required.
  • Learns test preparation and requirements.
  • Audits products throughout the process including outside lots.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associates degree preferred.
  • At least five years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to research and report state standards.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in tubing specifications and coating specifications.
