About the Organization

Yakima Family Health Services is committed to offering accessible, high-quality mental health services to individuals across various age groups. • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals in formulating and executing client-centered treatment plans.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, and support groups to promote community and understanding among clients.
  • Offer crisis intervention services, conduct risk assessments, and create safety plans based on clients’ immediate needs.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of therapy sessions and assessments, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on clients at our Detox Center, who may be dealing with substance use disorders, mental health crises, and various psychosocial challenges. You will engage with a diverse clientele, working with individuals from various backgrounds and experiences, fostering a respectful and inclusive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of experience working in mental health, particularly within outpatient settings.
  • Strong grasp of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and assessment skills, along with a genuine empathy for clients’ situations.
Preferred Experience

While not required, experience working specifically with substance use disorders or in a detox setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with various therapeutic tools and technologies that support remote therapy is also beneficial, as it will enhance your ability to connect with clients effectively.
