PLM Product Lead (Manufacturing)
Department: Infor Consulting Services
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: US-Remote
Description
The PLM Product Lead is a client-facing consulting role responsible for helping manufacturing organizations transform their product development and engineering processes through Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.
This position is ideal for an engineering professional with hands-on experience supporting product development, new product introduction (NPI), engineering change management, product revisions, bill of materials (BOM) management, and product lifecycle processes within manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will combine engineering and industry expertise with consulting capabilities to support customers throughout the implementation lifecycle.
The role will lead requirements gathering, solution design, testing, training, deployment, and advisory engagements while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders. Extensive travel is required.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
  • Lead client-facing workshops to gather requirements and define PLM solution strategies.
  • Analyze product development, engineering, and manufacturing business processes.
  • Facilitate solution design sessions supporting engineering and product lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Document business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Configure and support PLM solutions to address customer needs.
  • Develop and execute functional test plans and validation activities.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer to engineering and business users.
  • Provide functional consulting expertise on product development, engineering change, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with customers to improve product data governance, revision control, and product release processes.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience configuring, implementing or supporting ERP in discrete manufacturing environments. (e.g. Automotive, industrial enterprise, aerospace and defense, engineering and construction)
  • Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Development, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting product development and engineering processes within manufacturing organizations.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.
  • Experience working with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system or process solutions.
  • Ability to travel within North America at 50% or more.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United State for any employer without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience implementing, supporting, or administering PLM solutions for manufacturing.
  • Experience with CAD applications for manufacturing.
  • Ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders in a consulting capacity.
  • Experience integrating PLM and ERP systems.
  • Experience conducting customer workshops, training sessions, or implementation projects.
  • Experience preparing project estimates, scopes of work, and proposal documentation.
