Paid Public Relations & Publicity Intern

Interested in publicity, entertainment, media, and pop culture? This could be a great opportunity to get behind-the-scenes experience and learn how publicity campaigns come together.

She Executives is recruiting on behalf of an established publicity and public relations agency located in El Segundo. We are looking for a motivated and dependable intern who is ready to learn, contribute, and gain hands-on experience working with a professional publicity team.

About the Opportunity

This is a paid, part-time internship for recent graduate interested in building a career in publicity, communications, journalism, marketing, media, or entertainment.

You will support real client projects, learn how the team works with the media, and gain experience that can strengthen your resume and portfolio. For the right person, there may also be an opportunity to transition into a full-time Publicity Assistant position.

What You'll Do

Research journalists, media outlets, influencers, podcasts, and potential publicity opportunities

Build and update media lists and industry contacts

Monitor media coverage and assist with press clips and coverage reports

Help prepare pitches, press materials, client updates, and campaign documents

Research entertainment projects, media trends, and pop-culture news

Support interviews, events, premieres, and other press activities

Help keep campaign calendars, reports, and project materials organized

Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas

What We're Looking For

A current recent graduate in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, media, entertainment, or a related field

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Someone who is organized, dependable, curious, and attentive to details

The ability to balance multiple assignments and meet deadlines

A genuine interest in publicity, entertainment, media, and pop culture

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online research tools

Position Details

$21 per hour

Approximately 20-30 hours per week

Based in El Segundo, California
