Purpose of Position

This role is a project execution and coordination‑focused position responsible for delivering Deer Valley Resort’s capital projects and supporting large‑scale development initiatives. The position ensures that projects are planned, entitled, and executed in alignment with the resort’s long‑term vision, capital strategy, and regulatory requirements. The role supports project delivery across annual capital expenditures and development efforts, coordinating consultants, contractors, stakeholders, and jurisdictional processes to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role is accountable for supporting the delivery of the built environment, including infrastructure, facilities, and land use initiatives.

Specific Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Urban Planning, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in land use planning, development, or project management
  • Experience supporting capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and consultant coordination
  • Experience with land use entitlement and permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions
  • Understanding of land use codes, development agreements, easements, encroachments and land management
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with leadership, public agencies, and external stakeholders
  • Experience coordinating across internal teams and external partners, including municipalities, agencies, consultants, and contractors
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and change management practices
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support execution of annual capital expenditure projects from planning, permitting, and construction delivery
  • Coordinate with local jurisdictions including Park City, MIDA, Summit County, and Wasatch County to support regulatory alignment
  • Support Business Units in development of capital investment memorandums, including construction budgeting and scope definition
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, phasing plans, and line‑item budgets to support successful project execution
  • Support implementation of project delivery strategies aligned with Deer Valley’s capital planning and long‑term development objectives
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to support delivery within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Monitor project progress and elevate risks, supporting adjustments to scope, timelines, and resources as needed
  • Support preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid packages, based on design direction from Resort leadership
  • Support construction‑to‑operations handoff by ensuring projects are delivered in a manner that enables operational readiness
  • Support the Vice President of Resort Planning and Director of Program Development in advancing large‑scale development and strategic initiatives

Pay Rate: $90,000‑110,000
