Job description

Life Insurance Specialist | Farmers Insurance District 40, Michigan
About the Role:
Farmers Insurance District 40 is searching for a dedicated Life Insurance Specialist to join our district office team in Michigan. If you are passionate about helping people protect their future and thrive in a collaborative, supportive environment, this is your opportunity to shine.
Responsibilities:
As a Life Insurance Specialist, you will sell life insurance policies directly to individual clients and provide hands-on guidance to our district agents. You'll lead informative trainings to help agents succeed in life insurance sales, support the quoting and binding process, and help close policies while sharing in commissions for policies you contribute to. Your goal will be to foster strong relationships, cross-sell to existing clients, and bring in new business through networking and thoughtful outreach.
You'll also assist with daily office operations, such as handling quotes, policy reviews, and follow-ups, and play a key part in building the district's overall success. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both client-facing sales and agent development, and who's motivated to grow their own book of business within a respected organization.
What We're Looking For:
  • At least 1 year of insurance sales experience (life insurance preferred)
  • Active Michigan Life Insurance License
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and drive to build lasting client relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • Team player who thrives on collaboration and supporting others

What We Offer:
  • Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training
  • Opportunities to lead and facilitate agent trainings
  • Commission splits and additional performance incentives
  • Support from experienced district leaders and mentors
  • Access to robust marketing resources and the backing of the Farmers Insurance brand
  • A welcoming, growth-focused office culture
