We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to assist the team for the Jamaica Bus Depot Project located in Queens,NY. The Electrical inspector will be responsible for reviewing documents and performing inspections for the drain replacements, overflow drain installations with the new drainage piping, electrical equipment relocations and shutdowns, installation of the lightning protection system with the required bonding system, and assistance with safety inspections.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with construction codes and specifications.
  • Provide expertise in your specific focus area regarding all Electrical aspects of the project to ensure the highest quality work.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address issues and provide constructive feedback.
  • Review project documentation, including plans, drawings, and specifications, to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Materials inspection and acceptance before installation.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise and guidance on construction inspection matters.
  • Contribute and help prepare monthly project status reports.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of construction experience with an Electrical focus preferred.
  • Experience conducting Construction Inspections, particularly for Electrical aspects of projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction codes and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
