General Summary
Under supervision, you will assist with daily patient care activities tailored to age and developmental needs, including hygiene assistance, skin care, mobility support, and nutritional aid. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, collecting specimens, and documenting patient information accurately.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist patients with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and skin care while preventing skin breakdown.
- Support physical activities such as repositioning, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and transfers.
- Help meet nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, assisting with feeding, and recording intake.
- Perform technical nursing procedures within credentialing scope, including oxygen therapy, catheter insertion/removal, intravenous therapy discontinuation, nasopharyngeal suctioning, dressing changes, wound care, and injections.
- Conduct patient assessments and collaborate closely with primary nurses to ensure quality care.
- Educate patients and families in conjunction with nursing staff.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all care activities and patient responses.
Education
Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed nursing education but not yet licensed.
Experience
Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
