The Infection Control Epidemiologist (ICE) II supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Infection Prevention Program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and affiliated areas. This role plays a key part in advancing evidence-based infection prevention practices to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
The ICE II partners with clinical and operational teams to monitor infection trends, support compliance with infection prevention standards, and drive initiatives that improve patient safety and quality of care.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
- Degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related discipline preferred.
- Master's degree in Public Health or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience required.
- Relevant experience may include Infection Control, Nursing, Microbiology, Epidemiology, Health Education, or Public Health.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles, epidemiology, microbiology, and clinical practices related to infection prevention.
