Infection Prevention - Control Coordinator (RN), Part-Time, Day Shift
Community Care is hiring a Infection Prevention - Control Coordinator who enjoys team collaboration, community-based work, being part of a mission driven organization and who shares our mission to help elderly individuals and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities continue to live as independently as possible in the community. This is a full-time opportunity based out of our Brookfield/Bishops Woods office. 


Infection Prevention - Control Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, is responsible for the ongoing development, coordination, and monitoring of Community Care’s health promotion and infection control programs for employees and program members. Ensures the compliance of these programs with all related governing regulations. Leads and participates in clinical quality improvement projects and activities.

  • Infection Control/Health Programs Development - Develops, implements, and monitors infection control programs, and assists with employee health programs, and policies and procedures. 
  • Health Promotion/Disease Prevention - Stays informed of trends, practices, and regulations related to health promotion and communicable disease prevention and management through research, continuing education and membership on applicable external associations.
  • Compliance - TB Screening -Monitors policy compliance of clinical operations for employee and member TB screening, and oversees tracking of member screening.
  • Disease Outbreak Oversight - Oversees disease outbreak investigation, management and reporting; acts as a liaison with Local/State Public Health Department.
  • Influenza Vaccine Program Coordination - Plans and coordinates annual influenza vaccine program for employees and members.
  • Staff Resource - Acts as an educational health, wellness, and infection control resource for all employees.
  • Collaborates with the Learning and Organization Development - Collaborates with the Learning and Organization Development staff to develop, provide or coordinate employee training, in-services, and continuing education.
  • Compliance - Employee Health/Infection Control - Coordinates, monitors, reports on and ensures compliance of employee health/infection control.
  • Policy and Procedures Oversight - Reviews nursing policies and procedures, and assists in the development of new clinical policies and forms.
  • Quality Assurance Monitoring - Uses data to identify trends and implements strategies to improve clinical and operational outcomes. Monitors, audits and reports on nursing, clinic support and personal care service delivery and practices, and works with nursing leadership to resolve QI issues. 
  • Clinical Staff Education - Develops, organizes and/or assists with continuing education for Nursing and Nursing Support functions.
  • Regular local travel - requiring use of personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and proof of required insurance coverage.

Infection Prevention - Control Coordinator Job Requirements:
Education: Required - Associate degree in Nursing
                    Preferred - Bachelor degree in Nursing 
Licensure: Wisconsin Licensed Registered Nurse required 
                   CPR & AED required
                   WI Driver's License required
                    Infection control certification preferred.
Experience: Required - A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
                      Preferred - One year of experience in infection control. 

Infection Prevention - Control Coordinator Job Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 24 hours per week 
  • Flexible work schedule during our normal business hours of 8:00AM - 4:30PM
