Job description

The Alabaster House delivers wraparound care by weaving together physical, emotional, and social support for pregnant and postpartum women, all through a streamlined concierge-led suite of offerings. Nutrition counseling is a cornerstone of this care, ensuring women have the tools, expertise, and guidance they need to support their recovery, optimize lactation (if needed), and build sustainable eating habits through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

We are seeking a skilled, compassionate Registered Dietitian or Nutritionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in maternal nutrition, with specialized knowledge in prenatal nutrition, postpartum recovery, and lactation support. This is a role for someone who is both clinically proficient and deeply empathetic โ€” a practitioner who thrives on creating safe, individualized nutrition plans and who values collaboration in a multidisciplinary care environment. The role includes evaluating, counseling, educating, and supporting patients in the Atlanta area through in-studio and telehealth appointments.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Care for patients with a focus on nutrition needs associated with pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and lactation
  • Provide initial evaluation of nutritional status and goals
  • Deliver individualized nutrition assessments and meal plans for prenatal, postpartum, and breastfeeding clients
  • Provide expert guidance for conditions such as gestational diabetes, nutrient deficiencies, low milk supply, postpartum recovery nutrition, and sustainable postpartum eating habits
  • Continually review client progress and adjust nutrition plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Offer progress assessments, track outcomes, and communicate clearly with clients and the broader care team
  • Educate clients on evidenceโ€‘based nutrition strategies, meal preparation, and longโ€‘term habits for health and wellness
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of clinicians to create holistic client support plans and ensure exceptional outcomes
  • Contribute to program development, including specialty workshops and educational events
  • Document client sessions and progress in accordance with practice standards
  • Engage with clients via messaging to provide responses to questions as they are sent
  • Maintain professional growth in maternal nutrition, lactation science, and evidenceโ€‘based nutritional approaches
  • Consistently ensure a worldโ€‘class level of clinical care and patient experience; ensure all services are completed according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care, including maintaining patient confidentiality
Qualifications and Work Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Specialized training or certification in maternal and infant nutrition
  • 2+ years of clinical experience (maternal/infant nutrition or women's health focus strongly preferred)
  • Carry professional liability insurance
  • Availability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week with flexibility for inโ€‘person and/or telehealth sessions
  • Maintain schedule visibility and work with The Alabaster House concierge to keep your availability up to date for current and future clients
  • Excitement to join a team building an innovative model for supporting growing families
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, and demonstrated excellent client rapport
  • Reliable, punctual, and collaborative spirit
  • Passion for supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, lactation, and longโ€‘term wellness
  • Clear and demonstrated client service orientation; commitment to delivering exceptional, evidenceโ€‘based care to clients
Compensation
  • Competitive perโ€‘session pay rate (commensurate with experience)
  • Flexible scheduling within hours of operation
  • Opportunities for growth through workshops, educational series, and program leadership
