Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Infant Nutrition Room Tech you will collaborates with registered nurses, dietitians and other members of the healthcare team.
Every day you will be responsible for preparation, labeling, storage and delivery of human milk and other formula and formula additives required for infant feeding.
To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for precise and specific measurement and mixture of formula daily.
  • Routinely ensures proper preparation for the timely thawing of needed milk supplies.
  • Adheres to guidelines for storage, temperature monitoring and expiration dates daily.
  • Accurately measures, weighs formula or milk, additives and calculate recipes.
  • Utilizes specific mathematical skills and appropriate spreadsheets and recipes to calculate and measure for additives to the milk or formula.
  • Calculates and divides the milk into individual feeds while assuring proper adherence to milk supply to properly manage and plan for waste avoidance.
  • Pays close attention to detail. Effectively uses verbal and legible written communication skills with others.

Job Requirements
Required
  • Associates Degree
  • Six (6) months experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Understands and perform algebra.
  • Understand and perform basic weights and measurements.

Preferred
  • Experience in formula room or pharmacy or nutrition department.
