Job Duties and Responsibilities:

All America Threaded Products is a leading manufacturer of threaded products, and due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking DSC machine operators. A DSC machine draws, straightens, and cuts steel rod to length in preparation for our threading machines. This electrically driven equipment includes multiple pneumatic components and requires regular adjustments to maintain safe, consistent operation. Our DSC machine operators keep the machines loaded with raw material, perform tooling changeovers, make adjustments to correct imperfections in finished products, and troubleshoot stoppages. This position requires more than loading material and monitoring production. Operators must learn to recognize equipment and product issues, make appropriate adjustments, and troubleshoot common machine stoppages. This is a hands-on production position. Operators are responsible for running the machine throughout the shift in addition to completing setups, changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Adhering to all safety standards.
  • Beginning the shift with a machine walk-around, performing the pre-operation checklist, and ensuring the machine is in good working order.
  • Verifying material types, confirming work orders match raw materials, recording scrap, and confirming finished products meet work order requirements and quality standards.
  • Performing setup duties, die changeovers, and preventive maintenance.
  • Loading and unloading the machine, both manually and by using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Troubleshooting stoppages, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, well-organized workspace.

Who we are seeking in an applicant:

This position operates in a manufacturing environment where hearing protection and steel-toed shoes are required. Safety is non-negotiable. Operators will be required to stand for the majority of an 8-12-hour shift. We are seeking a mechanically inclined applicant with experience and/or education operating, setting up, or troubleshooting machines with electrical and pneumatic components. Experience with wire, bar, tube, or coil-processing equipment, roll forming, cut-to-length lines, stamping setup and operation, industrial maintenance, or other manually adjusted, setup-intensive manufacturing equipment may be a good fit for this position. Other qualifications include:

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency using gauges, tape measures, and other basic hand tools.
  • Familiarity with and willingness to follow warehouse and manufacturing safety standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a physically demanding position.
  • Willingness to spend most of the workday on your feet.
  • What we value most of all is a good attitude, reliability, and punctuality.
