Job description

Airtech International is hiring part-time Sewing Machine Operators for our manufacturing site located in Springfield, TN.ย  We are looking for motivated individuals who have experience sewing with patterns in a manufacturing setting.ย  Overall responsibilities include reading and applying sewing instructions, sewing complex parts with single or double top stitch and zippers, and making complex sewing repairs.ย  The successful person will use their existing skills in sewing to produce custom sewn parts.

To be successful in this role youโ€™ll need to be able to handle the following:

  • Sew medium and heavy-duty textile products by operation of an industrial sewing machine.
  • Operate industrial sewing machines to sew all products in accordance with company performance and quality standards.
  • Set up sewing machine with proper thread, tension settings, and material feeds as required.
  • Make minor machine adjustments.
  • Read, understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior sewing experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
