Job Descriptionย

This role provides hands-on manufacturing support for soft goods,ย leveragingย experience with textiles, fabrics, and production materials. Supports full lifecycle from R&D to production with test setup as needed.ย 
ย 
Role Responsibilities
ย 
-Assistย in the development, documentation, and verification of soft goods manufacturing processes.ย 
-Fabricate, assemble, and test soft goods prototypes and production hardware.ย 
-Oversee and support softย goodsย fabrication and assembly activities in a production environment.ย 
-Provide backup support to Manufacturing Engineering as needed.ย 
-Diagnose product and process issues, clearly documenting and communicating findings.ย 
-Perform quality inspections and verification through final product acceptance.ย 
-Create patterns from existing components and/or engineering drawings and specifications.ย 
-Build and assemble flight train components, including ladders, parachute sleeves, andย Stratocraftย assemblies.ย 
-Support load testing activities for flight train systems.ย 
-Provide hands-on support toย buildย across multiple work cells asย required.ย 
-Collaborate cross-functionally withย engineering, quality, and production teams to meet schedule and production goals.ย 
-Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.ย 
-Safely lift and move objects up to 40ย lbs., regularly bend, stoop, and perform other physical tasks associated with manufacturing work.ย

-Minimum 1 year of experienceย operatingย industrial sewing machines; experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or marine environments preferred.ย 
-Experience working in Foreign Object Damage (FOD)-controlled environments.ย 
-Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and work instructions.ย 
-Basic technical skills in soft goods fabrication, repair, and assembly, with the ability to work with limited supervision.ย 
-Ability toย identifyย quality issues and report nonconforming parts to a supervisor.ย 
-Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing, refurbishing, orย modifyingย soft goods components.ย 
-Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and inventory tracking.ย 
-Comfortable using computers for data entry, manufacturing systems, and recordkeeping.ย 
-Flexible and adaptable to changing production needs; willing to learn new processes and tools.ย
