Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, minor and major repair of both production and process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment, systems, and building in a manufacturing environment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Fixes machine breakdowns in a prompt skillful manner, minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical (motors, solenoids, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic (air cylinders, electro-pneumatic solenoids, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics (cylinders, motors, solenoids, etc.).
  • Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment, and servicing installations.
  • Provides support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers as necessary to support project and renovation work.
  • Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments.
  • Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing PPE as required.
  • Light construction consisting of framing, painting, plumbing, and miscellaneous repair duties.

Skills for Success:

  • Previous experience in an industrial environment or other related fields.
  • Comfortable with manufacturing processes.
  • Proven resource and problem solver.
  • Must be hands-on, detail oriented.
  • Ability to handle physical workload.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledgeable of diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Experience using a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently, and within a team structure.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Interpersonal skills.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma, or GED is required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
  • Intermediate electric maintenance knowledge.
