Industrial Engineer Manager

Temple, TX

The Industrial Engineering (IE) Manager's role is to provide strategic leadership to improve site performance continually. The IE Manager develops effective site performance measurement systems and creates major plant improvement programs that they lead and implement through the other members of the management team.


A key measure of the role is setting and continually improving plan numbers, along with developing a continuous improvement culture that empowers associates to make data-driven decisions. This role also fosters associate involvement and ownership in area management.

What are we looking for?

Minimum

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or similar field
  • 3+ years of experience within Industrial Engineering or Continuous Improvement
  • 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years leading others within manufacturing
  • Track record for project management at different levels
  • Must demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, advanced mathematical problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to analyze data, optimize processes, and drive evidence-based decisions.
  • Proven record of success in implementing sustained continuous improvement charters
  • Experience in leading Continuous Improvement projects in manufacturing projects utilizing Lean Methodologies (SIXSIGMA, DMAIC, 5S, etc.)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Senior Leaders and stakeholders
  • Track record in leading step-change initiatives / Best practice roll-out
  • Eager to analyze and inspired by maximizing value

Preferred

  • Able to develop and create Power BI Dashboards
  • Prior experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Experience leading change management
  • Ability to collaborate with peers
  • Experience navigate complex challenges
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Work with the regional team and the site to define the site role within the network, Site Strategy deployment to fulfill the site role
  • Owner of the base masterplan submission with the site technical manager
  • Support regional/global IE in providing data to establish the long-term capacity picture
  • Drive business change - Business change management, Program development & design
  • Lead oversight of Weekly and Periodic Reporting to drive a data-driven culture and fact-based decisions
  • Partner with site technical manager to own small Minor Capital Budget, and strategy to maximize its effectiveness
  • Strategic partner with site Operations Manager on creating and implementing 1 year site strategic plan, year over year
  • Use the outcome of benchmarking to establish a roadmap to best in class across the different elements of the toolkit for the site, working with all the site teams on non-financials
