Job description

Supply Chain Industrial Engineer

We are seeking a Supply Chain Industrial Engineer to help improve how supply chain decisions are made across procurement, planning, manufacturing, and fulfillment. In this role, you will apply industrial engineering, data analysis, and systems thinking to support analytical models, reporting, and process understanding that drive more consistent, data-informed decisions.

You will partner with supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and IT/data teams to analyze complex processes, improve visibility into performance, and help identify opportunities for operational improvement. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful business problems while building strong capabilities in supply chain analytics and industrial engineering.

Because not every problem will be fully defined at the outset, success in this role requires curiosity, initiative, and comfort working through ambiguity. You will help shape problem statements, explore data, and turn analysis into practical recommendations that support continuous improvement across supply chain operations.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and support analytical models and reporting that improve visibility into supply chain performance and complexity
  • Work across ambiguous or evolving problem areas to help define issues, structure analysis, and inform next steps
  • Analyze how master data and operational processes-including items, suppliers, bills of materials, routings, lead times, and locations-affect planning and execution outcomes
  • Identify drivers of variability, instability, and process defects across procurement, planning, and fulfillment activities
  • Take initiative in using data exploration and process understanding to clarify problems and uncover improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain dashboards, datasets, or reporting used to monitor supply chain performance and data quality
  • Document process flows and data dependencies across upstream and downstream supply chain activities
  • Apply industrial engineering methods, process analysis, and statistical thinking to support operational improvement initiatives
  • Validate assumptions, parameters, and data inputs used in supply chain planning and analysis
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Support implementation of recommendations in partnership with more experienced team members and cross-functional stakeholders

Who You Are:

You are a curious, analytical self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems and using data to drive practical action. You are comfortable working through ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, and building structure where problems are still taking shape.

You communicate clearly, collaborate well across functions, and stay effective in environments where priorities, data availability, or problem framing may evolve over time.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, engineering, business analytics, or a related field
  • Up to 5 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, supply chain, operations, analytics, or a related field
  • Foundational experience in data analysis, statistics, or process improvement through coursework, internships, or professional work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity
  • Interest in supply chain operations, data modeling, and process improvement
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a dynamic environment where priorities, data availability, or problem definitions may evolve

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Coursework, internship, or early-career experience in industrial engineering, operations research, or supply chain analytics
  • Familiarity with supply chain concepts such as items, bills of materials, routings, suppliers, locations, and lead times
  • Experience with tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or data visualization platforms like Power BI
  • Exposure to modeling, simulation, or statistical analysis techniques
  • Experience working with ERP systems or large datasets through internships, academic projects, or professional roles
  • Interest in data quality, governance, and process standardization
  • Curiosity about using AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, accelerate analysis, and enhance work quality
