Job Title: WebFocus Developer

Location: Portland, Oregon (onsite)

Duration: 5-Years contract

 

Job Overview

Design, maintain, and implement critical plant applications, such as WebFOCUS programs and TMPOnline, to enhance the operating efficiency of the Portland Western Star Truck Plant. Acquire user requirements and translate requirements into efficient, usable applications by utilizing TOS Lean Principles.

Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and edit WebFOCUS programs

- Develop, maintain, and edit HTML/CSS and JavaScript website files residing on internal web server

- Maintain and edit TMPOnline internal plant intranet site and develop new features as necessary

- Maintain and upgrade Inductive Automation Ignition Servers

- Maintain, edit, and develop Inductive Automation Ignition & MES programs

- Work with Materials and Production teams using LEAN principles to help plan and create efficient reports, and identify useful KPIs to spot trends and opportunities for improvement

- Develop and deploy provisioning and configuration scripts and playbooks to remote Raspberry Pi clients using Ansible software

- Liaison between Plant and CAE scheduling department

- Liaison between Corporate IT and the Plant to resolve issues

- Develop, edit, and update VB Scripts/Macros in Excel

- Provide support for Pick by Voice system

Qualifications - External

- Bachelor''s degree with 1 year of related experience OR an associate''s degree with 2 years of related experience OR 6 years of related experience required

- An attached resume is required

- Experience using WebFOCUS InfoAssist or App Studio is strongly preferred

- Experience using Business Analytics scheduling software is strongly preferred

- Must have experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as MSSQL and IBM mainframe databases (DB2)

- Must have experience with Microsoft Windows 7/10 and Linux operating systems

- Experience working with Raspberry Pi systems

- Experience using Ansible to deploy automation scripts and playbooks to remote systems

- Must have proven excellent customer service skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

- Advanced troubleshooting methodology experience is required

- Project management experience is preferred

- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

- A degree in computer science is preferred

- Proficiency with Excel, Access, and Project is preferred

- Proficiency with C#, MVC, HTML5/CSS, Python, JavaScript, , JCL, TSO, DB2, SQL, and SharePoint is preferred

- Experience with source control solutions such as Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket, etc.

 

Educational Qualifications:

  • Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
  • Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.

 

Travel:
