Melt Shop / Induction Furnace Operator
Are you hands-on, safety-minded, and interested in working in a manufacturing environment? We are looking for a Melt Shop / Induction Furnace Operator to join our team. In this role, you will help prepare, melt, test, and pour metal while following safety, quality, and production standards.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare, weigh, and load materials for the melting process.
  • Operate induction furnaces, cranes, ladles, and related equipment safely.
  • Melt and pour metal according to work instructions and quality standards.
  • Check metal chemistry using testing equipment and complete required records.
  • Maintain furnace and ladle linings, including patching and relining when needed.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
  • Work with team members to support production, quality, and continuous improvement goals.

What We're Looking For
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills and comfort using measuring tools or equipment displays.
  • Willingness to learn to operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and high lifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices.
  • Reliable team player with good communication skills.
  • Manufacturing, foundry, furnace, or equipment operation experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing foundry environment and may involve heat, noise, dust, fumes, and physical activity. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, work in tight spaces, lift more than 50 pounds, and wear required personal protective equipment.
