Job description

Responsibilities

Responsible for working on large scale new engineering procurement construction projects consisting of state‑of‑the‑art technology in battery production; collaborating with the Industrialization Team, Construction, Finance, Supply Chain, and various other internal stakeholders; providing support to purchasing activities and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies; establishing procurement strategy for construction services, engineering, and materials based on the project construction plan in reverse order; staying up to date with market trends and sourcing the best products and services; applying knowledge of indirect procurement strategy planning, MEP/CSA technical construction procurement, large industrial construction projects, end‑to‑end sourcing and procurement processes, data analytics, KPI management, procurement budgeting, cost modeling, global supplier sourcing and coordination, greenfield/brownfield projects, employee oversight, and SAP to manage PR/PO processes; organizing bidding, tendering, vendor bidding, and nomination activities; managing vendor contracts, tracking vendor payments, and renegotiating business plans; using SAP to manage PR/PO processes; identifying cost‑saving solutions; collaborating with global suppliers and vendors to scale product development; and providing support for global plant launch equipment and direct material projects.

Location & Compensation

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US.

Salary: $145,000 per year.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field of study (foreign equivalents accepted).

Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, purchasing supervision, procurement management, or equivalent positions.

Requirements

Experience must include at least two (2) years using the following: indirect procurement strategy planning and execution, MEP/CSA technical construction procurement, large industrial construction projects, end‑to‑end sourcing and procurement processes, data analytics, KPI management, procurement budgeting, cost modeling, global supplier sourcing and coordination, greenfield/brownfield construction project support, employee oversight/management, and SAP for PR/PO processes.
