POSITION SUMMARY:
The Indirect Loan Processor is responsible for receiving, auditing, and processing indirect and direct loan applications in accordance with credit union standards and Lighthouse Credit Union's lending policies, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate. This role prepares loans for funding and confirms that all funded amounts align with established guidelines, while maintaining a high level of detail and compliance. The Indirect Loan Processor collaborates with internal partners and communicates with dealers as needed to support efficient workflow execution and deliver exceptional service, while contributing to a consistent, high-quality lending experience and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency within the Indirect Lending division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Audits indirect loan packages, ensuring all supporting documentation meets credit union standards and that loan contracts are accurate and compliant with all applicable Federal and State regulations.
* Funds indirect loans by verifying that all required fields within CUDL are complete and accurate prior to posting in the host system.
* Reviews loans within the host system (Symitar) after posting to confirm accuracy and ensure all loan data has been correctly recorded.
* Communicates with dealers to resolve loans pending funding due to missing or incorrect documentation, supporting timely processing and strong service levels.
* Maintains adherence to organizational policies and standards, including attendance and punctuality, while contributing to accurate, consistent, and efficient loan processing operations.
* Follows and adheres to the Credit Union's policy regarding attendance and punctuality.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
* Engages in frequent verbal, written, and electronic communication with internal partners and external stakeholders to support collaboration and deliver a high level of service.
* Maintains established productivity standards, including a minimum expectation of auditing and funding 15 loans per day while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Manages fund delays proactively, ensuring loans are not pending for more than five business days; returns incomplete loan packages to dealers when required.
* Communicates with dealers daily regarding outstanding fund delays and documents detailed, accurate notes within the system to support transparency and workflow continuity.
* Demonstrates the ability to audit and fund Northeast Credit Union loan products, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and guidelines.


EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
* A high school education or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Two years of similar or related experience.


WORK ARRANGEMENT:
The working arrangement for this position is hybrid or remote. Hybrid work is an opportunity to find the right balance between working in the office and remotely, especially if it supports individual success and the needs of our organization. Hybrid schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business unit needs and may vary by department. Although a remote work arrangement may be authorized, those working in a remote position should expect occasional travel to headquarters or other business locations as necessary for work purposes.
